If you are below 60, premiums paid towards the plan, up to ₹25,000 are allowed as a deduction under Section 80D of Income Tax Act, 1961.
If you are above 60 or if you pay premiums for a senior citizen parent, premium paid, up to ₹50,000, is allowed as a deduction under Section 80D of Income Tax Act, 1961.
Inpatient coverage means coverage allowed for the medical expenses incurred when you are hospitalised for 24 hours or more in a hospital.
No, you cannot convert Plan A to a zero deductible (to an indemnity policy).
Day care treatments are those which do not require hospitalisation for 24 hours or more because of advanced medical technology.
Pre-hospitalisation means medical expenses incurred before being hospitalised like doctor’s fees, diagnostic tests, medicines, etc. Post-hospitalisation means the expenses incurred after you are discharged from the hospital and are recovering.
Super Health Plus Top-up Plan A does not cover AYUSH treatments. As such, you will not get coverage for them.
