I began my journey with Aditya Birla Capital while pursuing my bachelor’s degree. Looking for internships online back then, brought me to Aditya Birla Finance Limited’s six-month internship opportunity in their newly established Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Function. As I could only work part-time, I took up this role through ABC Gigaverse, Aditya Birla Capital’s flagship programme to onboard freelance and part-time professionals. Following my six-month internship, I was offered a full-time role after my graduation.
Two years since, I am a core team member at ABC’s DE&I practice today.

My team of five and I are building this function from the ground up, to create a more inclusive workplace at One ABC. What makes this special for me, is how we are living this proposition ourselves every day. As a mixed team, each one of us brings in diverse range and depth of experiences. In this milieu, my Gen Z perspectives have always been acknowledged. My suggestions were welcomed and actively sought, even though I am the youngest member of the team.

ABC's flexibility allowed me to take leaves and work from home during my exams, making me realize that ABC cares about our contribution at work as well as in our personal lives. I have grown both professionally and personally, thanks to the opportunities and support provided by the management and team members. ABC prioritizes people first and celebrates diversity, making it a perfect place for future leaders to become the best version of themselves. I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way and the support that has helped me become the person I am today. The management and team members at ABC have been instrumental in providing me with the platform to learn, grow, and contribute to the success of the DE&I practice.
