As a young professional who is empowered to bring positive change at One ABC, I'm excited to share how we win as ONE to achieve our sustainability goals at Aditya Birla Capital. As the ESG Analyst here, I work across departments and businesses to achieve our ESG vision. Assessing our social impact requires me to work very closely with businesses and their Leadership as well. In less than two years of my managing this mandate, our team has been able to pave the way for a renewed, 360-degree approach to sustainability.

I am passionate about promoting self-sustainability in my community and I actively work on reducing my carbon footprint through conscious choices. "Good governance is done when no one is watching." This message from our Leadership during a recent meeting strongly resonated with my fervour for sustainability. It's deeply fulfilling for me to work for an organization that shares my values and provides a platform for me to make a positive impact. No matter the age gap or seniority, I have been always looked uponas an equal contributor with valuable insights.

As a practice, sustainability is highly encouraged and ESG is integrated into everything we do at One ABC. Our workshops and development programs, in which CEOs actively participate, allow us to learn from different generations and gain fresh perspectives. Collaborating with a diverse range of colleagues with varying levels of experience provides valuable perspectives and has been instrumental in shaping my career. A true testament to this fact is the level of faith shown in my values and business proposals which led me to present in front of the Board Members at an early stage of my career here.

The leadership team and my immediate manager placed their trust in me to develop a comprehensive ESG strategy for ABC and its businesses. Their unwavering support and confidence in my abilities have been instrumental in my success. Their encouragement and recognition of my contributions inspire me to outdo myself every day. ABC’s learning programmes keep us updated with Global ESG trends on an ongoing basis and this helps us stay future ready.

Our most recent ESG Report was very well received, establishing us among the leading players when it comes to sustainability practices in Banking and Financial Services. I see immense scope for me to learn and grow here and I am very proud of everything we have achieved as one team at One ABC.
