Wellbeing Checklist
Good health takes more than diet and exercise. It is a combination of a good mental and emotional state along with physical conditions. To become well you need to start by understanding your body’s needs. Get seven to eight hours of sleep each day as emotional resistance is better when you are well-rested. This means that you can handle stress better and focus on tasks without feeling tardy. You should also focus on improving your gut health. The gut is like our second brain where 90% of the body’s serotonin is produced. This hormone induces the feeling of being happy. If your gut is not functioning properly your mood is bound to be bad.
Moreover, avoid negativity in your life, especially if it comes from the news or social media. It is good to be aware of the worldly affairs but continuously discussing the negative things and watching the same disturbing news over and over can dishearten you. When you feel overwhelmed, try to channelise your energy into work, hobbies, ideas, and creative thoughts to stay positive and productive. Work on understanding yourself better. Try feeling peaceful by practising yoga and meditation. These can improve your overall health and wellbeing.
Your health is something you need to treasure more than accumulated wealth. You should always be mindful of your actions, the food you eat and how you treat your body. Plan your day so that you don’t overexert yourself. Keep room for work, rest, and the things that make you happy.
