What is sleep deprivation?
Sleep is essential to your health and wellbeing. On average adults need about 7- 9 hours of sleep daily. When you get less than 6 hours of sleep on a regular basis, you are sleep deprived. During the present COVID-19 pandemic situation, people are feeling more sleep deprived than before. This has been termed Covidsomnia.
In the podcast Dr Aditi explains why you experience Covidsomnia and what you can do to prevent it. She also describes the symptoms of what insomnia during the pandemic might look like so that you know if it applies to you. Once you know that you do suffer from sleep deprivation, you can then do what it takes to solve the problem.
