What is Zumba?
Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with energetic dance moves. It is the key to a full-body workout that can relieve stress and boost your mood.
What are the benefits of Zumba?
Many people are under the impression that just because this is a fun way to work out, it is less effective. Here are some benefits of Zumba that will debunk this myth:
- Calorie burnout – One Zumba workout can burn around 600-1000 calories in just an hour. The classes are choreographed to provide slow and fast intervals of intensity in the pace of music and dance.
- Boosts your cardiovascular health – This high-energy workout requires you to breathe more, which increases the level of oxygen in your body and helps in maintaining a healthy cardiovascular respiratory system.
- Tones your body – Zumba exercise engages your core and abdominal muscles. It also improves the structure and health of your upper body (arms, chest, shoulders, and obliques) and the lower body (legs, hamstrings, calves, and glutes).
- Improves coordination – A Zumba workout improves coordination, ensures flexibility and free movement.
- Improves metabolism – High-intensity Zumba exercise on a regular basis can improve your posture, metabolism and blood circulation. It, therefore, builds a strong immunity, helping you stay active and energetic throughout the day.
- For people with diabetes and low blood sugar level, Zumba exercise can be your go-to way to lose weight. It also reduces the risk of heart diseases and improves your cholesterol.

She is good but she is too fast …not easy for a novice to follow. Her instructions are also very vague. May be good for someone with prior experience but definitely difficult for a beginner. This is just the first lesson so believe next ones will be more difficult to follow.
WOW! This is the indication to start doing Zumba right now. The endless benefits and fun process makes it one of the top five workout sessions one should do daily.
