As the environmental impact of waste generation becomes increasingly evident, addressing this issue
has become crucial for a sustainable future.
At ABC, effective waste management and minimization take precedence in our sustainability initiative.
We are dedicated to limiting waste generation and promoting reuse and recycling. To fulfil this
commitment, we have partnered with ViaGreen, an organisation specialising in recycling and waste
management initiatives.

Through our collaboration with ViaGreen, we have established a unique system that encourages waste recycling. ViaGreen acts as an intermediary between corporate waste generators and local waste collectors, offering Swachh Bharat Points (SBP) in exchange for collected waste. These points can be redeemed for various benefits, such as cash, office supplies made from recycled materials, donations to charitable organisations, and tree planting campaigns.
In our Mumbai offices, we have successfully implemented a waste composting program to manage wet waste, particularly food leftovers from the cafeteria. By utilising Organic Waste Compost Machines (OWC), our property team efficiently handles this waste, generating nutrient-rich compost. This compost is then utilised as natural fertiliser to nourish the plantations on our property, promoting a sustainable and eco-friendly approach to waste management.
At ABC, we prioritise responsible waste management, and we have launched a groundbreaking programme to recycle sanitary pads. This innovative approach, the first of its kind in the business world, helps lower our carbon footprint by reducing air and water pollution as well as landfill contamination. By addressing the needs of our female employees in an environmentally conscious manner, we prioritise their health, hygiene, and overall well-being.
Plastic waste poses a significant threat to the environment. At ABC and our subsidiaries, we have taken proactive measures to minimise plastic pollution. To achieve this, we have made significant changes such as replacing disposable water bottles and plastic water jars with sustainable glassware, reducing the use of single-use plastics. Furthermore, the installation of Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems has eliminated the need for plastic water dispenser jars, further reducing plastic waste.
