Job Purpose

Supervise the robust closure of monthly statutory financials as per INDAS along-with quarterly LRs / Audits, submission of quarterly returns to multiple regulators as required . Supervise closure of monthly income accounting, borrowings and FAR. To identify and set-up Accounting systems and processes for smooth conduct of business.

ABC Digital has been incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary of Aditya Birla Capital in 2023 to engage in distribution of Aditya Birla Capital products and providing services to customers, including web-based services, e-commerce, and payments facilities and allied activities.

ABC Digital is developing an omni-channel based D2C platform (website and app) to acquire new customers and serve them seamlessly. In addition, ABC Digital has started a virtual engagement management through inbound and outbound calling. Also, ABC Digital is engaged in cross-selling different ABC products to walk-in branch customers.

ABC Digital is collaborating with all ABCL subsidiaries to deliver a truly personalized and seamless omni-channel experience for both new and existing customers by building capacity and enhancing productivity through investments in talent, technology, marketing, and data and analytics.


Job Context

The Financial & Regulatory Reporting and Income Accounting Team within the F&A department ensures monthly closure of the Statutory Financials, Regulatory Return submissions, handling adhoc data requirements from RBI, Annual RBI Inspection Submissions and providing responses to RBI queries. Also, ensuring that the Daily / Monthly Income Accounting, Salary JV accounting & Market Borrowing is completed in a robust manner, along-with the relevant reconciliations. Accurate Fixed Asset Register is being maintained. Also managing Statutory as well as Internal Audits

Challenges
The major challenges in this role are keeping track and ensuring compliance of the ever changing Statutory & Regulatory reporting guidelines being issued by the Governing Accounting body and the Regulator.
Another challenge is to ensure proper flow of income accounting files / salary JV / borrowing cost booking between the LMS & SAP FI. This requires building the necessary checks & balances in place.
Managing the manual INDAS workings and building necessary controls to ensure error free reporting. Also, automating the INDAS workings.
Also, this role requires managing a large team to achieve 100% accuracy of financial records and flawless reporting in accordance with various regulations, constant updating with regulatory changes and getting unqualified audit certificates from the auditors.
Being an early stage business, there will be several Capex projects which have to be suitably monitored and accounted for
