Day Care Procedures

What happens when you get hospitalized for less than 24 hours? Rest assured that you will still be covered for the expenses in our 586 Day Care procedures.

Road Ambulance

Coming to your rescue when it counts, we will cover you for all the costs incurred for road ambulance when you’re admitted at our network hospitals. In non-network hospitals, we will cover up to ₹5000 per hospitalization.

In-patient

Be assured of care during your hospitalization days as we cover you for illnesses including Covid-19 with no restriction on Room Rent/ ICU expenses.

In-patient Hospitalization

Prioritizing the best care during your hospitalization days, we will cover you for room rent, doctor’s fees, operation theatre expenses, medicines, drugs, and other consumables under the policy as per your eligibility. You also have a choice to select your hospital room category. To avail of this benefit, you must be hospitalized for more than 24 hours.

Pre-hospitalization Medical Expenses

We are there for you during all stages of hospitalization. Get covered for pre-hospitalization costs like consultation and diagnostic tests up to 30 days before your hospitalization. These are covered after the hospitalization claim is accepted by the company.

Post-hospitalization Medical Expenses

Recovery takes its own time. We will be there to cover you for post-hospitalization expenses like medicines, diagnostic tests, or physiotherapy up to 60 days after your discharge from the hospital. These are covered after the hospitalization claim is accepted by the company.

Day care Treatment

Due to advancements in medical science, certain medical procedures like dialysis may not require a 24-hour hospitalization; such treatments will be covered under your Activ Assure Diamond + Super Health Topup plan.

AYUSH In-patient hospitalization

Your Activ Assure Diamond + Super Health Topup plan will cover medical expenses incurred by you towards your in-patient hospitalization under AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy). We will cover reasonable and customary charges on a reimbursement basis.

Domiciliary Hospitalization

For times you consider taking medical treatment at home rather than a hospital, we would want you to receive the best quality treatment. Hence, with the Activ Assure Diamond + Super Health Topup plan, you can get covered up to Sum Insured for medical treatment at home for a period exceeding at least 3 consecutive days which would otherwise have necessitated hospitalization.

Road Ambulance Expenses

We will ensure there is no roadblock to your speedy and quality treatment by covering your ambulance costs up to the sum insured at our network hospitals. In the case of non-network hospitals, you will be covered up to ₹5000 per hospitalization.

Organ Donor Expenses

All medical expenses for organ transplantation ranging from harvesting organs to transplantation surgeries will be covered as per the Sum Insured for the donor.

Health and Wellness discount

We want you to stay in shape and so we reward you for keeping a healthy attitude with Health and Wellness discounts on OPD consultations, diagnostic services, and pharmacies.

Domestic/ International Emergency Assistance Services (Including Air Ambulance)

You may travel for work or to get away from your busy lives. Sometimes you may end up going to remote places where an adequate medical facility may not be available and you need medical help. In such a scenario, we will help you reach a medical facility and then take you back to your home.

Home Treatment

If you ever feel the need to take treatment at home, your medical expenses will be covered for illnesses such as chemotherapy, dengue, gastroenteritis, and hepatitis on a cashless basis as per your plan’s eligibility.

For S.I. 5L and above ₹50,000

Home Treatment: The limit specified in the benefits table is as per Policy Year Limit. Applicable on a floater basis for a floater policy and applicable per life basis for an Individual policy. We do not assume any liability towards any additional or incidental charges/ expenses, including but not limited to, any charges towards breakage, damage, deposit for equipment, and equipment transportation. All such charges/expenses shall be borne by the Insured Person. The maximum number of days of covered services per Insured Person, for each Policy Year, covered under this section shall not exceed 15 days. We do not assume any liability towards, and shall not be responsible for any actual or alleged errors, omissions, or representations made by any Medical Practitioner and/or Network Service Provider / Empanelled Service Provider or in any service under this Benefit or for any consequences of actions taken or not taken in reliance thereon. Home Treatment services are provided through Network Service Provider / Empanelled Service Provider in select cities for select treatment procedures only. Please contact us or refer to our website for an updated list of treatment procedures and cities where Home Treatment service is provided.

Waiting period

We want the maximum number of people to benefit from our plans and hence provide a wide eligibility base.

• In the case of an individual policy - the minimum age at entry is 5 years and maximum age at entry is 65 years (age is calculated as no of years completed as of the last birthday)

• The minimum age at entry for dependent children, from age 91 days to 5 years, will be covered only if one adult is covered under the family floater Policy

• Children up to 25 years can be covered under the floater as dependents

• Initial Waiting Period: 30 days

• Specific Illness Waiting Period: 24 months

• Pre Existing Disease Waiting Period: 36 months

• Mental Illness Waiting Period: 48 months
